DISCLAIMER: HanVoice’s fundraising efforts are subject to 3 pieces of Canadian legislation, which are listed as follows: the Export and Import Permits Act, the Special Economics Measures Act (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea) Regulations, and the Regulations Implementing the United Nations Resolutions on the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). It is HanVoice’s view that this program is in compliance with these 3 pieces of legislation, both in spirit and black letter of the law. However, HanVoice is a Non-Profit Organization specializing in building awareness and advocating for change in North Korea, and specifically denies it possesses any legal expertise with respect to the detailed intricacies of and compliance with import/export transactions and their intersection with domestic and international sanctions.
